After a break-in, a storm or a burst pipe, the first job is not the repair. It is making the building secure, dry and safe enough that the repair can wait for daylight and a proper decision.
What’s included
- Boarding up broken windows and doors
- Temporary securing of damaged entry points and locks
- Isolating water and making safe after a leak or burst
- Temporary weatherproofing of roofs and openings
- Removing dangerous loose material after storm damage
- Photographing damage for your insurer
- Setting out what the permanent repair will involve
How the work runs
The temporary work is done in a way that does not have to be undone twice, and the damage is photographed before anything is moved – insurers ask for that and it is much harder to produce afterwards.
